Watching TV

I turned on the TV for the first time tonight since the night I arrived here to watch Psych. That makes a month without TV, and I didn’t miss it – of course it is summer. With the long days and long walks I’ve been busy.

I’ll be watching some of the Olympics this year, but what normally is a fanatic watching of all kinds of random sports with my sister will be reigned in to trying to catch some of the favorites.

I’m really hoping to see the wushu competition which is supposed to be an exhibition sport of some type this year, I hope they show it on TV. Years ago when I went to China with my wushu class we trained at two schools. One was run by Wu Bin, Jet Li’s instructor, and was like in the movies when someone opens a door and there are dozens of ninjas training in the next room. Only these were all little kids. We were told they were being trained for the 2008 Olympics. They were AWESOME!
